Shauny Comes To Stay...

This weekend my bestest buddy from Manc Land Shaun came to stay and it was fab.

He graced Shenfield on Thursday evening and no sooner had we had arrived at Casa Senjack then we were off with Mat, Chad & Dave to the flix to go see Tenacious D, Pik of Destiny - Hilarious!!! After the sights of Bas Vegas, we hit O' Neils in Brentwood where after a couple of bevvys (where Shaun n Mat were being girls as it went straight to there heads) we hit The Sakura for a very welcomed and yummy curry, more cobras and then it was a stagger home.

Friday brought a trip to Lakeside for me to buy a posh frock and for Shaun to buy donuts and chocolate, ha ha!!! We headed back home and got changed for our outing to London, there was me, Shaun, Mat, Chad and Mart and we met the George in town where we then headed for Chinatown. We found a yummy place to eat and proceeded to stuff our faces and drink lots of TsingTao!!! TSINGTAO

Saturday was a late start with a walk into Brentwood as it was Christmas lighting up day so that meant little stalls and reindeer. We, Shaun, Mat, Mart and I, had a wonder around, bumped into Mo, bumped in Maud, which was fab as we haven't seen him for ages, bumped into Stella. Went and cood at the reindeer then i bought some venison sausages, i'm evil!!Feeling a bit peckish, we popped into Cafe Uno, bottles of wine and a big lunch later we were done, it was now dark so we headed home before our outing to Saaafend to see Jimmy Carr. He was very funny, insulted everybody equally. It was then that we took Shaun to have his ultimate Sams experience.... He loved it, ha ha ha. Not everyone came but those of us that went had a top night, so much so that we had to be asked to leave after it had closed.

Hangovers all round on Sunday were made somewhat easier by Mats fry up, mmm yum. Then it was to be a chill out day, food and crap dvd's. I made a chili for everyone and then got a text from Janey and we were all off to O'Neils to watch Chris' band. So much for chilling out.

Monday and the weekend was over, boooo. Thanks Shauny, it was fab, come back and visit soon. xxxxxxx

Finally, the truth down under.....

So, sorry people but I have finally got round to writing about the recent trip to Hong Kong and Australia and be warned, this is a long one...

Our mini adventure began on Friday the 13th, now anyone that knows me knows that I am extremely supersticious and terrified of flying so this was a big deal however I was so unorganised I hadn't really had anytime to consider the crashing and dying elements, well untill I saw the size of the plane that is but i'll come on to that....

Nix (From hereonin known as George!) ma and pa picked us up and off we went to Heathrow, it was at this point George realised she had forgotten her driving license at which she was thoroughly pissed off about considering most of our holiday would be around driving from Brisbane to Melbourne, or so we thought... Still it was no biggie both JP and I would share the driving.

Anyways, we gets to the airport and queue in the appropriate BA area and gets to the check in desk to be told that firstly the lady can check us in but it's a bit early for the bags but we can hang about for the next 20 minutes. We didn't have to as George and I were cool, seats at the ready etc, JP on the other hand... She tried to bump him off the flight first of all, bearing in mind we were probably the first to check in!!! She told us the flight was oversubscribed!!! George and I were very controlled and neither of us lost it, bonus! Anyway, she got him on, not sat with us but they put a note on to see if they could seat us together. Off we trundled....

We had dinner at Est, Est, Est and low and behold it was time to go to the gate, gulp!!! As we got closer to the plane I could see from quite a way away that it was FUCKING HUGE!!!! It was at this point that George went to the loo, JP was chatting to his bird (again!!!!) so I sat quietly and began to panic! George came back and suggested that maybe it was time for to take the valium that my very nice doctor had prescribed. I did and suddenly the world was a happy place. I had the giggles, not bad but enough. Still they were controlled until we got on the plane, JP had been moved to sit next to us the classic thing is he had been given an emergency exit seat prior to that, hilarious!!! Especially as he was asleep before we'd even taken off and slept for the whole bloody flight...

Needless to say we arrived in Hong Kong, safely!! Whilst waiting to get off the plane JP developed a chinese accent and was not discreet, I did comment to George that he was gonna get us killed!! His accent remained for the duration of our time in Hong Kong and he took to blurting, much to our amusement. On arrival we had a very bizarre conversation with the taxi driver, taiwan, aberdeen and JP stating "no we're from London" you clearly had to be there. Georges cousins gaff was fab and they very kindly took us out for a scrummy yummy dinner (the start of many), off to bed and I woke up at 7am!!!

Our first day in HK brought us a trip on the Star Ferry to Kowloon, we hit the jade markets, had a walk around and then went for a posh lunch at The Peninsular hotel, very nice (except Georges kiwi juice, ick!!) Ferry back to Lan Kwai Fong where we found a street carnival and then a pub! Georges buddies came and met us and the drinking began, mine didn't really progress as jet lag kicked in and I felt like shit. George and JP however, didn't seem to have a problem, they were hammered! We then took another trip on the Star Ferry back to Kowloon so that we could look back at the light/laser show in HK, back again on the ferry and JP asleep (missed pic opportunity as Ashley woke him up!!) Dinner at a vietnemese rest and off to bed.

HK day 2 and it was a trip on the Peak Tram, it was steep and a fab view at the top. Furthermore they had a bubba gump shrimp rest, i had to spend!! Shrimp! We had lunch at the top, very nice and then another amusing cab journey, the driver had his top on inside out, stopped the cab to pee and then proceeded to sing to us, lobbie williams! We were gonna go to Stanley Mkt but time was short so we headed back, repacked and then headed to the airport, again!!! JP asleep again in the cab, tried to get a pic, even through the side mirror but to no avail. Giggling again...

George managed to burn her lip on a hot choc in Staryucks, JP was spontaneous for the first time ever and bought a new digital camara (which he managed to delete 84 pics off of a week or so later!!!) and I again was shitting my pants, it was valium time and this time it was worse, I took 2. As I was walking back from the loo, the giggles hit and I couldn't stop, JP and George had a concerned look for me, doh!!!

9 or so hours later we arrived in Brisbane after a seriously shit landing (it was really cloudy - Georges comments of learner driver didn't help), I was tired and grumpy having not slept at all and the novelty of the valium totally worn off!!! However, we ventured through customs, JP gets stopped at every opportunity. As you go through quarantine they have the cutest sniff and sit dogs (little beagles) they're lovely and i'm getting one and i'm calling it sniff. George did say she'd get one and call it sit, this could be a disaster...

And there we were, in Brisbane airport, no hotel, no idea, what do we do now, ha ha. We hired a car, courtesy of Hertz and with a free upgrade we were off in our ice blue toyota camry! We were heading for Hervey Bay, which we were told was about 4 hours away. JP and I took turns falling asleep at the wheel before finally reaching our destination, the Lisianna. What a result, a 2 bed apartment for a whole £85 per night and it had a sea view!!! It also had Rigsby as the owner... Dinner was in the pub, JP was pissed again after 2 pints, bless him.

Wednesday brought a day out whale watching, this was after a classic comment from JP. I remarked that I still felt wobbley with the jet lag to which JP replied "I don't have jet lag" I asked if he'd slept all night to which the response was "No, I've been up since 2am!!!" Bless him... Anyway, the whales were fab and put on a great show, mummys, babys, a tiger shark and some dolphins too and it was sunny!!! We had dinner on the marina where George spilt a glass of water over me but it was okay my trousers seemed to repel it, fantastic!!!

Thursday came and with it a trip on a funky off road bus type truck thing, a hilarious driver named Warren, a trip on an 8 seater plane (without valium), dingos, a 1500 year old fern and George in total delight when she discovered Angry Anderson was on the bus (for those of you like me who had no idea, he wrote and sang the song that was played at Scott and Charlenes wedding in neighbours)The highlight had to be watching JP asleep on the bumpiest ride ever whilst trying to take a picture through the chair in front whilst George and I pissed ourselves giggling, we never got it...

Dinner was at the Black Dog where we had copius amounts of Sushi oh and cosmopolitans. A trip to the pub and a couple of vodys and we were strolling back to the apartment when JP spotted the sign, Easy access up rear stairs. We found it hysterical, JP lent over the hedge in front to cover up the word stairs whilst I took a pic at which point he announced that "this bush smells lovely" I do not know how George and I made it make to the apartment without wet bloomers.

Friday saw us leaving Hervey Bay and begin our drive down south towards Sydney. It took 4 hours or so to get to Brisbane and we stopped just south of it in a place called Coomera to meet up for a quick drink with Daves sister Leslie. Chatted to a kiwi dude who was practicing his chat up lines on us; Do you like chicken? Well you certainly know how to get a cock up!!! Er, order a rum and coke at the bar next to a girlie, drink the drink then throw the ice on the floor and step on it. You then turn to the girlie and say "now that i've broken the ice, do you fancy a drink?" I can hear the groans, ha ha ha. He then proceeded to tongue Georges ear and give her a slap on the arse, highly amusing!

At this point we weren't far from Surfers Paradise but it was indy speedway weekend so the chances of us getting somewhere to stay were slim so we headed for Byron Bay instead. We found somewhere to stay, it had stale biscuits, me and George were most disappointed. Went for dinner at Fresh it was yum. We then went to this funky bar/club place which was mahoosive!! They had a live band on and it was very cool, except when the displays in the bar flashed up a severe weather warning!! Yes it was going to piss down with the added extra of thunder storms, we were in Australia for gods sake, its supposed to always be sunny!! Anyway, George got chatted up by a minging aussie whilst JP and I laughed, it was a good night!!

We awoke in Byron Bay to thunder storms and grey bleakness so we went for brekkie and finally found a chavvy hostel to stay another night in. (it was the weekend so everything else was booked). We left our stuff in the car and went for a nose around town, walked to the beach and the sun poked its head out, this is where we made the mistake of walking back to the hostel to get our bikinis on, it started to piss down again!! We thought we'd still put them on just in case it stopped and suddenly got nice so we went to the room to change. As we waked in the smell of stale weed greeted us along with a packet of tobacco and some skins on the table. JP opened the door to the bedroom and almost passed out from the fumes, there was some scarey ass dude asleep. It was at this point we re-thought our accomodation, got our money back and decided to move on.

After passing many presbyterian churches in the next village we decided not to stop there and carry on and ended up in Yamba, soon to be known as williesville. I had been feeling pretty pants all day so we thought we'd have dinner and an early night. Found a really nice restarant, which turned out to be award winning and had a really nice meal. JP had kangaroo, it was yummy. We were in bed by 9.30!!! Within minutes JP was asleep and I turned to say goodnight to George when I knew by the look on her face that she was shitting her pants!! It was really windy and rainy outside and the bathroom window was a little open and she was also concerned that the door never had a chain on it. I told her not to be silly but it was too late, I was shitting my pants too. We started to giggle and woke JP up in the process, we told him we were scared but he just told us to shut up, stop being silly and turned over and went back to sleep - git!!! I then thought sod it, if i'm gonna die I might aswell be asleep. Funnily enough we woke up as normal the next day. Oh I also failed to mention that the hotel was next to the police station, dumb ass!!!

Sunday - We had brekkie and then we set off, our desitnation for the day - Coffs Harbour. We got there and it was still pissing down so we decided instead to move on and we ended up in Port Macquarie instead. Found a place to stay, the toilet leaked, George thought she was gonna get a fit handyman but instead an old boy turned up and told us that we weren't flushing it properly!!! Er, hello. Anyway, went for dinner and then, you guessed it, another early night. We were in bed again at 9.30, what a wild bunch we are! Oh and it was still pissing down...

Monday - I woke up before the others (just for a change) and went out to make a couple of calls, I couldn't believe it, the sun was coming out!! We went for brekkie and then hit the road and went to the koala hospital, oh bless em. They were very cute, until one of the women pulled a tick off of one of them and showed it to us, yuck!!! We then headed towards Newcastle, we got there, we drove in and then out!!! What a shithole, think Tilbury....

We headed for Sydney, a day early however JP rang his sis and she kindly said we could stay with them for the night as our apartment for was booked from Tues to Sun. I was driving, JP was navigating, really badly!!! He faffs and I caught Georges eye in the rear view mirror and that was it, we were in hysterics and JP wasn't amused which of course made us laugh more. Anyway, we made it to Glebe and Lesley and Ian provided a much welcomed G & T. We went for the most scrumptious lebanese meal and then slept in a very comfy bed.

Tuesday - We got to the apartment but wasn't able to check in until 2 so we dumped our stuff in the boys room and JP and I took the car back. After that we (me, George, JP, Dan, Miho and Stu) headed for Manley. It was really windy, we sat on the beach for a bit and then went for a really scrummy lunch on the front. George and I had a sociable cocktail and then we walked and sat on the harbour beach for a bit before getting the ferry back. We got back to the apartment - the Meriton World Tower, a 5* star serviced apartment and oh my god was it fantastic??!!! We were on the 76th floor with floor to ceiling windows in every room, the views were spectacular. George and I ran around giggling and somehow we gave in and let JP have the big suite. George and I hid, seperately, in his walk in wardrobes that is until I heard her fart in the other one and both of us fell out giggling.

Ian and Lesley came round and we all went for sushi. George and I decided we were gonna go for a couple of drinks and found a pub over the road and met an aussie and a kiwi, Rob and Glenn. We chatted to them until around 3.30am by which time we were completely obliterated, George snogged the aussie and then we headed home with the giggles. We felt this was a good time to text our parents....

Wednesday brought hangovers for both George and I. We went for a walk to Darling Harbour and then went to the aquarium which was fab!!! In the afternoon, JP went to see his sis whilst George and I thought we'd treat ourselves to a massage. How wrong we were!!! It was horrible, 20 minutes of my neck and shoulders being totally tortured, don't ever do it!! Poor George was in agony for days. That night Dan and Miho made us a seafood delight, it was yummy. I wasn't gonna drink as I still felt pretty ropey but it didn't last, I was soon hammered and wanting to go out. I finally convinced Stu and JP that it was a good idea and we headed for Kings Cross, found a bar and had a couple. We then headed back to the apartment in a taxi with the best driver in the world, he was so cool that we made him take a pic with us, tho it's on Stu's camara so not sure we'll ever see it. Anyway instead of going home we ended up in the pub over the road and then in Scruffy Murphys til 4 when Stu told us we had to go home - boo!!!

Thursday - George and some of the others went to the zoo whilst JP and I had a walk about, we went for brunch and then to the Rocks at which points I gave up, was hungover and shattered. I walked back to the apartment and had a chill out. George and I went to dinner with Dan, Miho, Stu, Chris, Sarah, Elliot and Amy to Doyles. Very swanky, Opera House one side, Bridge the other, lovely. It was here George was born. Now this isn't gonna be very funny but I found it highly amusing. Instead of saying ruby for a curry, they all say George!!! As in George Grindian rhymes with indian - see told you it wouldn't be funny. Anyway I think Nix looks like a George so George it is.

It was Friday and wedding day for George, well clearly not for George as she hasn't met anyone worthy enough yet however you know what I mean!! JP and I woke up earlyish, not together I hasten to add, anyway, we were up for a day of motoring!!! Yep we were off to the Australian Motor Show, we met Lesley and Ian and off we went. It was cool and lots to see, I couldn't understand the interest the other 3 had in the caravans (Chavs!! Kidding!!) Actually I do get why but I wasn't interested so I sat and got divebombed by the flys around the harbour!! Have I mentioned the flys?? They're huge and everywhere around the water, minging!!! Ian wanted a milkshake and we were all hungry so we went for pies, they're were yummy! We then had a walk through the fish market, it was fab, it would've been better if we'd gone there for lunch but hey ho. It was then to Lesley and Ians for a chill out and dinner. We headed back to the apartment and I went to bed. It was then my phone rang, private number so I didn't bother, I then get a text from my credit card company saying fraud alert and could I call them. I did, i'd be done, attempted £7k but they'd only managed £4k and even better they had cancelled my card. I was hacked off so got up to find George and Stu back from the wedding, we had vodka, I felt better.

Saturday came and with it a trip out to see the happy couple and there guests at a fab pub where you picked and cooked your own meat, I had a New York Strip Steak, blue and with mustard, fucking amazing!!! JP had Skippy, tho he wasn't impressed with his own cooking and George had a pizza??!! We had a wonder round the Rocks and the markets and then home where the others went out and we just went for a wonder around Darling Harbour and then got a slice of pizza and bed. JP went boozing.

It was Sunday, check out day, or not!! We'd been monitoring the weather in Melbourne and it was 9 degrees, colder there than here at home, how shit!!! We made the decision to stay in our luxury pad and extended it for another 3 days (giving us time to get to Melbourne). Georges buddies all checked out but not without leaving there ice cream - Thanks guys!! George and I headed to Paddys Market for a bit of a shop, its next to China town and George had caught JP's blurting disease, mental oriental was her favoured phrase!!! Good grief!! We tried to shop though it was a bit pooh really so we headed to the Opera House to do the tour instead however the sun made an appearance so we laid on the stone seats for an hour or so before going to the Opera House bar for lunch and it was fab!! Jazz band playing, really busy, great atmosphere and THE best fish and chips i've ever had!!! George played musical chairs as it was sunny or did she need shade, aagghhh!! ha ha. We were off to JP's sis for dinner.

Monday and we were determined to be tourists, we got on the bus to do the tour and then realised we'd pretty much been to all of the main places, however we got off at Harrys, Cafe De Wheels (very famous) JP and I had pies, mushy peas and gravy, superb, George didn't. She had at this point lost her bus ticket so we couldn't get on, we dithered and then decided to go back to the Opera House and do the tour. JP headed for a museam. George and I were complete bitches (no change there then I hear you cry) and laughed as a large lady walked past us, she was eating her shorts, I took a picture, I’m going to hell! We had our tour and it was fab, really impressive and our tour guide was obviously a luvvie, hilarious!! It was off to China town for food, oh my god it was good, JP thought so too as he ate everything! It was then all off to meet Georges snogging buddy. Lots of drinking, JP thinks he pulled Glenn which we laughed at but thinking now maybe he did….

It was Tuesday and hangover day, a late start. We dithered about what to do and decided to change our flights from Melbourne to Sydney – still pooh weather and then we were off to Manly beach, JP didn’t stay long and headed to his sis’s gaff. George and I spent a couple of hours there and then went to the Bavarian Beer Bar, had vodys and a schnitzel, scrumptious. Another trip on the ferry to our gaff and an hours sleep or so we thought. We woke up at the time we were supposed to be meeting her snogging partner so a quick shower was had and then a visit to V bar and then to a really seedy pool place, it was at this point my bed was calling, so was Georges cept hers was going to have a real life aussie in it…..

It was now check out day and we headed for Ian and Lesleys and there sun trap of a roof terrace, where we spent most of the day. Except for the time we were downstairs giggling, all I’ll say is leather sofa, vibrations, hilarious!! Dinner was an Indian that cost a total of £3.40, fab!

Oh did I mention that George hadn’t slept the whole time we were in the apartment, she was missing me, ah bless. It was okay, we were back to sharing and she did sleep, pathetic!!

It was Thursday and our last full day, George and I hit the beach and went for the burn, well I did, it was well impressive but quite painful, dumb ass!!! Dinner was a trip to a posh place called the Boatyard, very nice but there was no way George and I were walking back home, we’d walked there!!!

Friday and going home day – I was ready to, I’d had a really cool adventure but I was missing my buddies, 1 in particular along with my bed and my home sweet home. We shopped, George and I both bought shoes, pressies, choccies, the usual crap and then it was off to the airport. Had a laugh with the girlie at check in and George and I ended up with the emergency exit seat, well I needed the room for my long legs!! JP didn't!!! Failed to sleep the whole way home but hey I got to watch 6 films!!!

Thanks to George and JP for making it a definite trip to remember – we certainly had some giggles.

Aaagghhh!!!!

It's days like today which make me hate my job, I spent in excess of 6 hours sitting in traffic!!!! What the f*@! is that about!!!

I only went to Kingston!

(Sorry - Just venting and needed a break from still working!!!)

On a happier note, my boss took me and the guys to see Lord of the Dance on Tuesday night (reasons why I love my job!). For those of you who don't know, my boss and his lovely missis both used to be in it and he's been promising for ages so off we toddled on Tuesday.

We arranged to meet in the pub next to the Opera House (where LOD was being held) which turned out to be none other the Vera Duckworths (well not her but the woman who plays her whose name I don't know!) it was cool and I turned around to see none other than Les Battersby!!! Class, ha ha ha.

Saw the show, it was very cool and then afterwards I got completely trashed with the cast, a thoroughly top night! (When I keep saying I, it wasn't just me being a complete lush, the guys were with me too!!!)

I knew it was a good night when I woke up on Wednesday morning still fully clothed from the night before, doh!!! Had a meeting with my boss at 9am - yeah so I was late but only by 10 minutes and that was on 4 hours sleep, impressive or what?!

8 days til holiday, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!

Impressive or what! So i'm back to square one and with only 12 days til my holiday it's not boding well.....

Yesterday my hairdresser, after years of asking, finally cut my hair... Now I know that sounds odd as shes my hairdresser but shes been a friend for a long time and was scared to death of cutting it but she did it, yaaaaaay!!

My buddy Shaun has been really ill this week so big hugs to you hon and get better soon, I love you lots. You need to get well, we're going partying soon...

Other than that, pretty dull really, 12 days to go til holibob, woop!!! (Got my valium ready, Nix is relieved, 23 hours on a plane with me without it, not good!!!)

Good Things...

Today I spoke to my friend Elena who I haven't spoke to for over a year. We were bestest buds but due to both of us losing phones and some other issues we lost touch but not now, so yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! Best of all is that she is moving back to the UK in October, hoorah!!!

The other good thing that I forgot to blog last week was that one of my bestest friends Natalie gave birth to a baby girl called Ellie, aaaahhhh!!! Both mummy and baby are healthy and happy.

17 days til holiday - woop!!!

Finally...

I would just like to announce that I have finally had my tooth filled!!!!

Actually it turned out to be 2 teeth that needed an ickle filling in each and because I am so hard I had them with no injection, yeah it hurt but hey there was no needless dribbling after - Always a bonus...

Robbie Day

On Tuesday Nixter and I went to see Robbie in concert.

It was a great day, Orson were cool, Basement Jaxx, as ever, were fantastic and Robbie was, well fat!!! ha ha.

Seriously though, apart from looking absolutely shattered, haggard and pretty rough he still gave a great show.

We were about 20 yards from the front which meant I could get some pics but being the dwarf that I am meant that I couldn't always see the man or even the screens!!!

Jonny Wilkes came on and they sang and made us laugh and Max Beesley drummed for Rudebox, which I have to say was superb.

All in all a thouroughly good day, despite having a 4 hour drive home!!!

Karma.....

Last night we went to the Light bar in Shoreditch for the start of Chads birthday celebrations.

I got very drunk, (having not eaten much and not getting much sleep this week) fairly quickly!!!

I've always been a believer of what goes around, comes around and last night I got mine...

Whilst walking back to Liverpool Street station, Mat and I were behind a girl who tripped and almost fell. I found this hillarious (it was the drink, honest) and said to Mat "did you see that girl, she almost fell over" It was at this point I hit the ground with a thud!!

Still it gave both Mat and I hysterics all the way home.

Today I woke up to a bruise and a graze, tremendous!!

80's Hair Re-lived...

This weekend we (Mat, Nixter, Justin, Bobs, Saskia and I) went to stay at Mats parents house in Aldeburgh. It wasn't planned and as is always the case, it turned out to be a great weekend.

Mat, Nix and I drove up on Friday night and arrived at around 8.30pm to be greeted by fish and chips which Justin and Bobs had already got, it was yum - At this point I'll just clarify, the diet went totally out of the window for the weekend!!!

On Saturday, we started the day with bacon sarnies all round and then faffed for a bit. A trip around the shops, via the sea front, prior to our lunch booking was on the agenda. Mat, Nix and I ended up in the pub! A Guinness later we were wondering around and before we knew it we were sitting in the Lighthouse with a bottle of wine. The food was amazing, I had Crab (no comments please!) to start, followed by Skate and finished off with a lemon tart, it was scrumptious!!!

We had a sit on the beach, where Saskia and I tried to stone Mat but without much success... Bobs and Sas were successful however, in giving Justin a serious wedgie!

Saturday night came and brought with it the maturity levels of 11 year olds, actually that's unfair, Saskia is 11 and she is way more mature than we were! We started by playing games with Sas - who's in the bag and then consequences. It was hilarious, I almost wet myself!!!

Sas went to bed and it was downhill from there. I should probably point out that 7 bottles of wine were drunk between 4 of us.... My defence and that's the way it is!!

Our night consisted of taking pics in random stupid poses, slow motion running, bending over, in a pile, lets all jump and so on (well done to Bobs who was the creative genius) Someone came up with the idea that we should do all of this with bad hairstyles, it was backcomb city! Bobs then convinced the boys that they needed lipgloss....

This went on for hours until Bobs suggested wrestling. It was me vs Mat and Justin vs Bobs, needless to say I lost despite biting Mats knee! Bobs too went for the biting, scratching, generally kick the shit out of option but Justin was too much of a match and she was pinned down.

The others went to bed as Mat and I decided it was dancemat on the ps2 time, I should probably point out that it is now 3am and we're totally hammered. Mat caned me, though I reckon he secretly practices. We had it on the fastest speed with the most movements and were totally shit! Despite me trying to cheat by pushing Mat off, I was still appalling.

Sunday brought hangovers.... Followed by a pub lunch, a stint on the beach and bumping into Jane and James - very bizarre, before heading home.

Thanks to Matty for the use of his ma and pa's gaff and to everyone for the most hilarious giggle I've had for ages.

Diets, Gym & Garden Parties...

Following on from my last post about how I was going to get shitfaced at Nix party well that never actually happened. How depressing!!!

I did manage to stuff my face on an especially nice hog roast though, clearly not the whole thing but I did have a good go. The bouncy castle was hilarious - see the mature pics, eh JP??!! Phil did manage to overcome his childhood fear and get on it and Chad, well what can I say except Tigger is not a patch on his bouncing!!!

Lots of booze was flowing and it was a really good night, extra special thanks to Mick and Sandy for there hospitality. Oh almost forgot, they even had posh portaloos!!! Lights, hot water and everything...

Other than that it has been pretty dull. I've been a good girl and have been going to the gym regularly, ache like buggery but it seems to be working, i've now lost 13 lbs, still a huge ass load to go but i'll get there!!!

Mo Jo has decided she is definately moving to Spain, boo hoo hoo and will be gone by Jan at the latest, still that means loads of weekends away for me, yaaaaaaaaaaay!!

I've not had chocolate for 4 weeks now, i'm beginning to obsess!!! Mmmm, chocolate...

So whats new...

It's been a couple of weeks so heres an update...

My toothache has developed into an abcess, which is nice!!! Typical, I was just about to have it filled but no, have some more anti-biotics and away you go for another 6 weeks until we can fit you in. This is the longest toothache type thing ever!!!

Er, I went to V, which was a top weekend!! Saw lots of bands, including Orson, The Feeling, Radiohead, Paul Weller, James Morrison, Razorlite but the best were Beck and of course Faithless. I bounced around like a freak!! However not as much of a freak as the woman in front of us, both Chadley and Mart have already blogged but I can't miss the opportunity, all I can say is what a tramp!!!!!

Where shall I start, she was wearing a strapless white Moschino dress with a green bra underneath. According to Jonny P, "from behind she had it all going on!!" However, she had a face that looked like she'd done drugs for years and years and she was totally off it, her face that is!

Her and her pal, were shitfaced and bouncing about generally enjoying themselves untill.... (Oh what I failed to mention was that this was on Sunday, on the Saturday night, a man had vomited in the corner near to where we were so on the Sunday this had been lightly covered with sawdust) firstly she got her boobies out, much to JP's delight, ha ha!!! Her dress fell down, she readjusted her bra and there they were. A great start or so the boys thought! She then proceeded to stagger to the previous nights vomit and pretty much sit in it in order for her to pee instead of going to the toilet! I turned around to see what everyone was laughing at and got an eyeful of minge, it wasn't good (not that i'm an expert!!). When she eventually got up, her hand had been in the sick and it was all over her boot, I was heaving, what a minger!!!

She was clearly aware that we were all slating her, it may have been Charlotte shouting "dirty tramp" that gave it away! Some time passed and then she was back in vomit corner however she just sorta plonked herself in front of it but never lifted her skirt and then she just layed down in it instead, nice!!!

Faithless then appeared on stage and she was up like a shot where upon looking at the back of her dress I realised that she had in fact actually pissed herself, classy chic or what??!! Oh almost forgot whilst she was laying in sick her mate was throwing up for all to see!

After that they were bouncing again and bumping into people and then some woman chucked beer over the pissy birds dress, what a nice combination.

So that was V, the highlight for me was not actually going to the toilet the whole time I was there, what a superb effort!!

We're down to less than 7 weeks before Oz and Jonny P has booked and is coming with us, woooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooo!!!

Finally the most amazing thing has happened, I am on a diet and i've joined the gym!!! I've lost 5 pounds so far and have been to an aqua aerobics class with Nixter where I almost drowned, I really am short!!! Highly amusing!

Tomorrow brings my first gym assessment, should be interesting, I wonder how long it will take him to tell me that i'm overweight and unfit??? It also brings Nixters ma and pa's garden party to which I intend on getting totally wasted so Nix i'm sorry in advance for anything I may say or do!

It's back...

Yeah so today brought my toothache back, oooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!

It gets better though cause now the side of my face is swollen too, i'm looking really hot! All this in time for my new big boss man to be out with me from tomorrow for a couple of days, isn't that just swell! Get it, swell, ha ha.

So, New Year, it now looks as if we've found somewhere which is pretty cool and it's almost certain that JP is gonna come Oz!

Nix has gone back into hospital today for more tests, love you Nixter, but she'll be home on Friday hopefully, yaaaaaaaaaay!!!

Oh and my diets started cept for a minor hiccup last night when Dave and Mart forced me to eat ice cream!!!

This week also sees the return of Jane, Mat, Chadley, Hannah and Kirsten, will Mat have won his bet??? Well as of yesterday, no!! Will Jane have had any more married couples come on to her? Will Hannah and Kirsten have wound the boys up, our money is all on yes!! Oh the suspense...

Rantings....

I'm tired!!!

I love my job but I really hate driving, no actually what I hate is sitting on the bloody M25!!!

Impressive though, i'm on over 10,000 miles now, not bad going for 3 months worth!!!

In the last 3 days I have done just under a thousand miles, I need a holiday!!! Talking of which, 65 days to go...........Wooooooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooooo!!!

(JP is also looking very promising to be coming with us but sscchhh, it's a secret!)

Mat, Chad and the girlies have been away a week and it's very quiet, Bobs n Justin go tomorrow, Janes having a fabulous time by the sounds of it in Europe, it's not fare!!!

Still V is next weekend, big dilemma, do I camp or not???

Working Weekend...

This weekend has been pretty dull, it has to be said. I've worked all the way through and am still not finished, pah...

Last night tho around 8.15pm I made my mind up to go out, so I ventured to the Terriss bar with JP and Martin. I was hungry as I had not eaten, so I was whinging. When I asked Mart if he had eaten (bearing in mind both Mat and Dave are currently away and Mart quite openly admits he cannot cook)he replied with "kinda" I asked what was kinda, his comeback was "i've had a cucumber sandwich" I had hysterics, who has cucumber sandwhiches other than when visiting the ritz??!!!

It would appear that he had aquired an organic cucumber and even though he doesn't like cucumber in the first place it looked different! Anyway, he says it's always something he's wanted to try. Strange boy! I also asked if he had cut the crusts off, he said he did on one as the first one he ate was too doughy! Ha ha.

His second fatal mistake was that he didn't cut them up into little triangle either, just straight across. I don't know do people not know anything...

My birthday in Manchester...

So Thursday brought me to the ripe old age of 33, great!!!

I was in Manchester for a meeting, where they presented me with a cake, cards and some champers - always good!

My boss then took everyone out, not just for my birthday but it was Richards leaving do and a belated 40th for Marky Carr!!! (He'll be chuffed that I just posted that on the net, not!)

We went to Gaucho Grill where we had the best steaks ever, they were unbelievable. Several bottles of wine and 2 cocktails later (its now almost midnight!) we were ready to move on. Shaun and Gareth from the office had arrived to join us for copious amounts of booze, so we hit revolution and the shots began!

Rich started it by buying Mark and I birthday shots, they were hideous!!! The trays of shots then followed, Shaun has actually discovered what they were, paint stripper with food colouring in them!!! Several vanilla vodkas were had and some grooving for me and Gareth.

The boys then hit the casino, Shauny and Gareth went to the village and bopped til 4am (Shaun was not happy when I saw him the office at 9.30 the next morning, hangover from hell, ha ha) and as for me, I went home to sleep as lets face it I have only got little legs!!!

All in all though I had a top night as you can see by the pics...

Oh no, the big 3.... oh shit its too late for that

So this week brings my 33rd birthday, oh the joy...

10 of us went to celebrate (well comiserate) on Saturday, we had good food, lots of wine and lots of Nicki and Vicki taking the piss out of me (can't tell you why though!)

After the meal, I suggested we head back to mine for a nightcap - as if we hadn't had enough... Anyway, the boys and I proceeded to knock back a bottle of coffee vodka, it was yum! Well, except JP, who yes you guessed it, fell asleep...

One of them and I can't remember who but i'm thinking Dave or Mat tried on a hat that was downstairs, it escallated - There was a hat fest in my bedroom, they all wanted one which is a worry in itself but it got worse, they swapped and giggled and kept them on til they flaked or went home.

I was concerned when Mat chose a pink cowboy hat with sequinned tiara but it got worse, he unbuttoned his shirt and was far too comfortable, we are all now very aware that this was Mats way of coming out - Though Dave reckons he is just trying to double his chances of getting laid!!!

All in all though, a top night. Thank you for all my hillarious cards and for my wobbley headed Jack Sparrow and Predator, woo hoo hoo, I got a predator!!!

Oh and to JP, thanks for another addition to my hat collection, you can borrow it in Oz... Posted by Picasa

Toothache, part 4...........(Are you bored yet!!)

So todays visit to the dentist brought a dentist who i felt actually knew and cared about what he was doing! Always a bonus!!!

Anyway, he has established the root (get it, ha ha) of all my pain and it is that part of a filling has come out and is nothing to do with the cracked tooth!!! This is easily rectified and i've booked myself in for the filling to be done, week after next.

Now back to the crackage!!! It appears that it is a delicate op that he feels a dentist is not really capable of doing and has therefore referred me to see a specialist (How much money is this gonna cost?!)

What does worry me is that the twat I saw on Tuesday was prepared to do it there and then, so what does that tell you!!! Worrying eh?

Wednesday, July 26, 2006

Toothache, part 3...

Yeah, so today my temporary filling falls out!!!

Tuesday, July 25, 2006

Toothache, part 2.......

Okay, so today was the actual dentist appointment following my recent cracking and subsequent toothache.

My appointment was at 4.20 and I began shitting myself at around noon...

Anyway, I arrived at the dentist only to be told that I had no appointment, created a bit and was then told they could fit me in as someone hadn't turned up (I should probably add that I was the only person in the dentists!!)

Sat in the chair and started to rant, cracked my tooth, wisdom teeth, too many, grinding at night, aaaggghhh!!!

So my cracked tooth is still infected and the dentist confirmed that I need a root canal, he told me this and then continued to say "i'll just numb the area" as i shuffled in the chair blubbing that I was scared and in need of sedation!! He gave me a temporary filling and sent me on my way...

Got a consultation for Thursday and I can book the anesthetist from there which I was particulary happy with as I like the fact that they put me out and when I come round, I have absolutely no idea whats happened and tend to have that paralletic feeling, fantastic!!! This lasted until I spoke to my boss who said, "isn't that worse, they don't give a shit when you're out, so they don't take as much care" and worse still, "what if they touch you, they'd have a field day with you!"" (Just what I needed to hear!)

So now I don't know what to do, i've gone into panic mode - sedation or no sedation???

Same old, same old....

Well i'm kinda writing for the sake of writing as nothing has really happened over the last week. Been to Manchester both this week and last for work but other than that, all very dull.......

On the plus side, Nix is now out of hospital which is good cause we all missed her and she was blue in there.

Er, 85 days til Oz - woo hoo and thanks for the reminder Nix, 2 weeks til my birthday, which I have to say I am trying to forget as I've gone into depressive mode about the fact that im getting old and my life is a train wreck!!!

Wavey Daveys birthday is on Saturday but he's off to the Isle of Wight for the weekend so we're all gonna go for a bbq round Paula's to celebrate without him... Well all except Mat who has got a date with Sarah C, 23 and 5' 1.5" from Watford - woo hoo!!! (Oh and he's scared, ah bless - poof!!)

Pirates Day...

Today was "Pirates Day" It started at 11am with Mat, Chad, Dave and I watching The Goonies over Bas Vegas, yes, the original film back on the big screen.... hey you guuuuys...

Then lunch, then mature games in the arcade. Mat n I went on a rollercoaster simulator, hillarious and then on the dance mat thingy where Mat actually beat me by miles. It's official I have no rhythm...

It was then on to Pirates of the Carribean - Deadmans Chest and all I can say is, absolutely superb and funny as fu@k!!!

Anyway my main reason for blogging, I got new photos of my neice and nephew, she's so beautiful that I had to put them onto flickr.

Boredtown!!!

Okay heres a strange one, I typed brentwood and then sugarhut into google as I was trying to find out for Chad if he had to wear a shirt for tonights outing (to which i've only just realised I didn't actually do!) but imagine my disbelief when the page loaded with the words Boredtown and then Brentwood!!!

Apparently, during the 1990's Brentwood was voted the UK's most boring town!!! Now as a resident, I have to disagree, however for those that are interested the web address is as follows:-

www.boredtown.co.uk

I myself, am very proud to be living in boredtown!!!

Thorpe Park

Mat, Dave and I went to Thorpe Park and worryingly i'm becoming a wuss!

I never normally have any hesitation about rides however, today was a different story. I kept being bullyed onto them as Dave had booked both Mat and I as his helpers and apparently I didn't have a choice!

I have to apologise to Nix as we had tentatively organised the visit for Sunday but I had screwed up and double booked. I was arranging to meet up with some friends that I had met whilst on holiday last year and the only day that everyone else could do was Sunday so I went with it. Oooh, help needed, I saw my friends (Bethan and Jason) who only have 3 weeks til there bubby is due and they have still not decided on a name for there ickle boy to be, hence why I need the help (Ideally something welsh but not Rhys, as I have already suggested it and Beth said that she really liked the name but every Rhys she knew was a toe rag! Any comment Rhys???) Jason keeps suggesting Lucifer but Beth is not impresed...

Anyway, back to Thorpe Park, Sunday night we were on the site, looking at the rides and talking about Stealth - the new coaster, then final destination 3 was mentioned and then I came home to bed. Anyway, a nightmare later and we were ready to go....

Upon arrival, I saw the actual size of Stealth (from the car park) and thought to myself there is no way in this world that I am going on that! Well imagine my dismay when we got to the ticket area and there were signs up saying that Stealth would not be in operation today, gutted or what??!!

Well the sun shone and we had a good day, I even managed to go on Tidal Wave twice without wetting myself laughing and even though they tried to make me, I didn't throw up after the spinny, throw you about rides that I didn't want to go on, thanks boys...

Toothache...

Oh my god!!!

When people have said in the past that the worst pain is toothache i've never really understood what they meant until yesterday...

It started about a month ago when I cracked my wisdom tooth, I meant to make a dentist appointment but forgot and cause it didn't hurt...

Well anyway, yesterday late morningish I started to get this ache and it got progressively worse throughout the day, so much that I resorted to Parecetomol and whisky when I got home, worked on and off but was still in alot of pain.

This morning I woke up at 6am in the most excrutiating pain I have ever experienced. It wasn't pleasant!!! Unable to get through to the dentist, I resorted to my Dr's where the nice lady gave me painkillers and antibiotics.

Mat came round to see if I was okay (ah bless him) and was still pissed, tremendous!!! After they all got back from the pub last night (I never went due to to the immense pain, have I mentioned that it really hurt??) Dave and Mat drank 3/4's of a bottle of vodka. Dave woke up face down in the garden at around 8, to the sight of Martin laughing at him.

Anyway, the painkillers work, which is fantastic however they work so well that I can't stay awake. It was my godsons birthday party today which I couldn't go to cause I couldn't drive on the tablets so instead I watched England get beaten (boo hoo hoo) well I say watched, fell asleep during the 2nd half and woke up just as just as MOTD finished! Still by the sounds of it, it was probably for the best...

Buffalo wings and other things...

Let me explain, whilst watching the football on Saturday, as most of you are aware, England scored! Tremendous, however as we were jumping up and down and clapping, Jane said and I quote "I need to lose weight, look at my buffalo wings!" Ah bless her as Jane has the most stunning figure and so does not need to lose weight but when I explained that it was actually bingo wings and the reasons why, she just stood there laughing in amazement. She's so pretty...

Moving on, last night Jonny P and I went to see George Benson, he was superb. For someone who must be nearing 173 years of age all I can say is wow!!! The evening was nicely finished off by a trip to Brick Lane where Jonny P treated me to a salt beef, mustard and gherkin bagel with a cup of tea. It's the simple things....

A good day...

Yesterday was a good day...

It has to be said that this week has been pretty crappy to say the least however yesterday made up for it.

To start with Nix and I finally booked our trip to Oz!!! Now anyone that knows me knows 1, that I am terrified of flying and 2, that I am totally supersticious.... Somehow Nix has justified us flying out on Friday the 13th!!! The logic is that as our flight isn't until 10.15 pm that realistically within an hour we'll be over another country and they'll be at least an hour ahead of us so its not like we're properly flying on Friday the 13th.... If anyone comments on how this isn't accurate, please be prepared for the consequences, you have been warned...

Anyway, so our trip starts with a flight to Hong Kong where we'll spend a couple of days and then we're gonna fly into Brisbane and there our road trip begins. We're gonna drive North first and go to Fraser Island and then come back down taking in Surfers Paradise, Byron Bay and Port Macsomething to name buy a few. We should then arrive in Sydney, where we are going to spend 4/5 days, Nix buddy is getting married and then we're off again making our way down to Melbourne, probably via Canberra (Jonny P is dithering but there is a slight chance that he may come too, we just have to work on the gentle persuasion...) How exciting!

Then once we had booked our flights yesterday we were off to Milton Keynes Bowl, back in time 10 years, to watch Take That!!! All I can say is "oh my god!" Despite a really shit journey up there which took 4 hours due to traffic, (we broke the journey up with a stop at the services where chocolate eclairs amongst other goodies were purchased), it was soooooooooo worth it.

The sun was shining, it was a hot day and around 6pm the amazing voice of Beverly Knight filled the area, she belted out all my faves and what a way to start the evening. Mad dash between Beverly and The Sugarbabes allowed for a sociable pimms... The Sugababes had everyone dancing and Too Lost in You brought a tear to both Nix and I, ah we're so pathetic.... but then after a panic wee for Nix and then another dash for Pimms the boys were there....

For some reason, Nix was like a dog on heat in general yesterday but it was made so much worse upon seeing them and what was a very welcome surprise was how fit Mr Barlow has become, (if this had sound you would have heard me sigh!) They all looked totally gorgeous and gave a stunning show, it was totally amazing! (Note to self, stop saying totally!) Now confession time, 10 years ago it was always Robbie and Howard for me but I have to say they all did it for me yesterday and judging by the reaction of the 100,000 people or so around me, im guessing it was the same for them.

They sang all the hits from it only takes a minute, a million love songs, sure, could it magic (with a hologram of Robbie on stage) to a medley of Beatles Tracks to a piss take of manufactured boy bands - it was phenomonal (if they bring it out on dvd, hint for my buddies, I want it!) I have to own up and say that i'd forgotten how good they actually were (I can just imagine what sort of comments i'm gonna get now and Mat you can say nothing, the venetian who???)

They came back on for an encore and Beverly Knight belted out an additional introduction to which you knew was going to be relight my fire, I commented to Nix that I thought they may duet with her on it as shes good enough to belt it out however, I was wrong, Lulu appeared on stage looking stunning (bitch!), the whole of the bowl was jumping!

Could it be magic was started by a hologram of Robbie however it got so much better, the boys had water being showered onto the stage, they were in it, dancing, splashing, they were wet and so were, anyway....

The boys finished the night on never forget to which an amazing fireworks display lit up the whole of the bowl, Nix and I again had tears in our eyes, (we also had them when they first came on stage - it was emotional!!) and then it was over.... All in all a top day which was well needed.

Oooh almost forgot, dumb blonde comment of the day goes to Nix when she said something about going to be emotional when they did father to son to which I looked at her before laughing and stating that Boyzone sung that!!! (Yes, I loved them too!) She actually meant Never Forget, aaahhh bless her.

All that remains to be said is good luck to our boys against Ecuador today, I shall be in the pub with Janey supporting them in my England pants! (Under my jeans of course.....)

Realisation...

It's official, I am now too old to go clubbing...

I'll come back to that however, it's been a strange week, was away with work at the beginning but back for Thursdays England game against Trinidad & Tobago, which saw us win 2-0!!! "Bring it on the boys" Jonny P and I ended up watching the game (well 2nd half as I was late home from work) in The Swan. Everyone else was in O'Neils, we couldn't get in, obviously cause I had made us late. However, I have to say The Swan was a good place to be, no crowds, no beer being thrown, just a good atmosphere and for once a clear view of the screen.

2 pints of guinness later and for some reason I was totally hammered. I, of course, put it down to the fact that i'm ickle and have no legs and that I hadn't eaten. Well after that, Nici D came in for a couple, then Mat turned up, Nici D left, then Dave and Mart turned up and then Chad too. 4 or 5 bloody marys later (not quite sure how that one happened) I was absolutely shit faced and on a school night!! It was okay though, cause everyone else had somehow got shitfaced too, so I did the obligitary, "shall we go for a curry?" (that'll be the diet totally gone...) I was met with resistance.... About 10 minutes later we were in the kebab shop, class...

Upon arrival back at Pigs Towers (where Mat, Mart n Dave reside) Jonny P promptly fell asleep (just for a change) where to our amusement we spent the next hour adding accessories to him and taking photos, 50 or so snaps later.... (highly amusing, pics can be found on Mats blog)

Friday night was a civilised dinner with Alex n Paula, there was waxing first and then a bbq, does it get any better..... It is also official that Paula really is the biggest lightweight ever, she had 1 glass of Pimms, whilst eating and was absolutely hammered. I must also mention Alexs homemade coleslaw, devine, i'm sure all your footy buddies will be impressed... ;-)

And so it was Saturday and whilst having dinner (Mat, Dave, Nicki n I) Rhys phoned saying he had split with Laura and was coming down. So it was decided, we were going to take Rhys to Sams (Our local club, well just) We hit The Terris bar and several Pimms later, drunk again, we then got a cab to Sams (How lazy, it's a 5 minute walk but my feet were hurting!!!) Oh by this time Rhys had turned around (even though he had got to Reading) and was driving back to Wales to see Laura, hope you work it out dude, you know where we are.... Anyway, Sams, it was a shocker, I sat there with Nix at my side and realisation dawned, im getting old!!! It's not a nice feeling, I looked around the club and realisation that i'm now destined for a life of nights in, in front of the tele. Oh my god, i'm depressed....

Nix and I came back to mine, where I managed to make the best egg and bacon bagels, superb. Mat too came banging on the door and prompty passed out on my kitchen floor as apparently it was cool there. Mat was a little worse for wear, actually the worst I have ever seen him, he could barely stand, ah bless him.

So it's been a strange week in that ive been feeling pretty blue, combined with now having no life ahead of me, what do I do?

If anyone has any suggestions as to how my life may not be officially over, answers on a postcard too......

Baby Sadlers

Grant sent me some pics of Braden and Eloise, they're on Flickr for all to see. Bless Braden now looks exactly like Suz and Eloise is a proper little lady, just like Grant....

Ramble...

I'm not a happy bunny at the moment... Do you ever feel that you always come back to the same point at which you starterd or is it just me?

Enough doom and gloom, heres the cheery stuff - Nix and I are going to Oz (well hopefully)!!! On top of that it looks like i've managed to get it really cheap so even better as I, for some reason, appear to be especially skint at the moment! We're hoping to go in October so it should be nice and sunny, im soooo excited, just seems like ages away though.

Well, the world cup is here at last. Yesterday, instead of going to the pub for various reasons but one of which was that it was lovely and sunny, Nix and I decided we'd buy some lovely, yummy food included in which was pate, brie, french stick, various different salamis, er houmous etc, sit in her garden with the tele outside and watch the game. It was glorious, not the game cause to be fare that was pretty poor however we won which is the main thing. We vegged all day!!! Upon arrival, Nix suggested a jug of pimms, uch was my response as I was suffering from the worst hangover in the world ever!!! (Another reason for not wanting to go anywhere near the pub) We settled for a jug of squash!

The evening was planned, we were going to go for dinner with Nickis dad (her ma is in ireland this week) as he has been living on egg and bacon!!! We went for a yummy meal at La Trattoria where I had whitebait to start following by skate cooked with brown butter and capers, it was seriously good. We then all shared a lemon cheesecake, well to be fare Nix ate most of it, bloody greedy cow!!! It was divine, definately a go again!

We were then supposed to go into town and meet Mat and the others however we ended up back at Nickis watching the token chick flick, it finished, we did the usual - "but real lifes not like that" ha ha.

Today brings house cleaning this morning and then a picnic over Weald Park to celebrate Saskias birthday. Saskia is Bobs' daughter and she was 11 (I think) this week. So as the sun is shining, we're all taking a picnic to the park and apparently there will be rounders, oh the joy!!!

Oh and I have to write more frequently as Dave has done a blog revue and if I slack he's going to remove me!!! Not from the planet, only the link from his blog...

Long Weekend

Well the weekend started on Friday with a 6 and a half hour drive to Manchester, oh the joy...

Manchester, being where my office is located and the venue for an "End of Year Awards" night that was due to start within an hour of us arriving. Needless to say, we were late.

It was a good night, from what I remember... being dragged from the venue to the hotel by Aid whilst trying to construct a sentence together. After about the 4th time i conceded to the fact that I was indeed slurring my words and talking complete bollocks! Back at the hotel bar, I managed a further baileys before falling into bed and passing out to the sound of my voice saying "the room keeps spinning". My saving grace when I awoke to the most god awful sound that is Aids alarm was that my bosses wife was as pissed, if not more, than me and had thrown up - superb!

Saturday brought a half eaten fried breakfast followed by a trip to the office, boring, to sort something out. It was then onto lunch with my boss, his missis (who was trying the "I only had 3 glasses of wine" routine along with the "someone must have spiked my drink" get out) their ickle daughter, his mum, her mate, Dave and Ali from work oh and of course me and Aid. The food was pants, Aid had an additional hair in his that he hadn't requested and given that he was sat next to Ali who too is a baldy its a pretty safe bet that it wasn't one from either of them.

After lunch I dragged Aid the through the whole of the Trafford Centre to find a turquoise bag for the wedding we were going to on the Sunday, in the last shop I bought a brown one!!

We then drove to Lancaster, checked in to the hotel and was in bed by 9, I was soundo before the Big Brother music had finished.

Sunday brought Richard and Rachels wedding (Richard works with me) I felt a rush of pride seeing him up there, ah bless. The wedding was lovely, they both looked gorgeous and it was a thoroughly good day. My boss and his wife turned up for the evening but after consuming a bottle of wine I was rubbish. Snuck off about half past midnight and drove home on Monday after a lovely breakfast. Furthermore, it only took 4 hours to get back, impressive......

Well all that remains to be said is good luck to Richard & Rachel, i'm sure you'll have a wonderful life together.

Technology....

Well, Mat is dragging me into the 21st century. Today I purchased my very own domain name, not quite sure what that means but hey i've paid for it for the next 2 years!!!

Now, my blog can be found against amandasenjack.co.uk, woo hoo!!! Im so important, er, well maybe not.

So what have I done since Easter, well, Aid and I went to Barcelona, very cool city, didn't take that many pics but some on flickr. Er Justin, Natalie, Mat & Kev have had birthdays, we all went to the Light Bar on Saturday (For Kev & Mats) and got very drunk, especially Mat who has just asked me if Elaine was there!!! (She was)

Nix has buggered off to Pathos for a week with Claire and Sally, i'm so jealous, especially as its grey and has been pissing down all day!

Janey has got a new job, she's moving to a new school in Hutton where she will no doubt remain the classic example of controlled behaviour! Ha ha, sorry Janey, looking forward to Thursday night!

Talking of Thursday, thus begins "The Re-Launch" Mat is due to have his brace removed and is on a mission to shag as often as possible after this time, though he does have to pull first!!

Get this, i've got golden circle tickets for Robbie, woo hoo hoo!!!! Oh and Jimmy Carr tickets too, not quite the same buy i'm sure it will be good. So Take That and Robbie in one year, does it get any better??

A Month On........

Well, i've impressed myself, i've remembered to log on and write!!!

So whats happened, well, i've been working constantly and have pretty much had no life since January but it is our busiest time of year so to be expected.

Er, Mat, Mart & Dave have all moved in down the road so now there is 5 of us in one street, me and Jonny P makes 5. It's hiliarious and i'm never short (well obviously I am) but I meant of someone to see.

Grant & Suz have left us and gone to live in Canada but it's okay cause Nix and I are already planning our first trip. Talking of trips i'm (sorry "we're")off to Barcelona in April and maybe Cuba in June so it's all still manic.

Other than that I hit what I thought was a fox but now not sure, could've been a small child but we think more likely a deer and it's wrecked the front of my car.

Ta Ta for now, see you next month...

Its been a while........

Okay, so it's been like months!!!

Whats happened, well Christmas came and went, along with the new year, (photos available), not forgetting Mart's 40th birthday party (photos also available), all in bad taste and now it's February, how did that happen???

Well, 2006 and i've not yet had a holiday, whats that about??!!! Unfortunately due to restrictions of my marvellous job, not likely to until at least April, how very depressing.

So, im gonna make the effort and write at least once a month. Deep joy I hear you all say....

Sadly i've not much else to write, all pretty uneventful.

Back soon and hopefully it'll actually be worthwhile reading but can't promise...

Just re-read that all back, I sound like a right miserable bitch, i'm not really, honest!!!!
